On November 11th, according to the latest data of Essential Science Indicators (ESI), the chemical disciplines of ouruniversityranked in the top 1% of ESI worldwide. So far, the number of the disciplinesat ZAFUranked in the top 1% of ESI worldwide,has increased to 5,namelyPlant and Animal Science, Engineering, Agricultural Science, Environics /Ecology and Chemistry. Among them, Agricultural Science and Plant and Animal Science, are ranked in the top 5‰ in ESI.

The statistical update covers the periodbetweenJanuary 1, 2011andAugust 31, 2021. According to the data, 649 ESI papershave been publishedin the field of chemistryat ZAFUinthe past10 years, which were cited 9158 times in total, with 14.11 citations on average and 12 papersenjoying a high citation rate.

In recent years, the university has carried out the first-class discipline construction project, focusing on the connotation development of disciplines, and the academic ambition offacultiesand students has been significantly improved. Five disciplines are listed in the top 1% of ESI in the world, indicating that the international academic influence of ouruniversityis further enhanced,and so isthe level of our discipline construction. It is a good start to promote the construction of first-class disciplines for the “14th Five-Year Plan".
