On December 5, Julie Mennell, Vice President of the University of Cumbria, UK led a delegation to visit our university. President Ying Yibin met with the delegation. Relevant persons in charge of the School Office, the International Office, College of Continuing Education and Jiyang College participated in the talks.
Ying Yibin expressed welcome to the delegation from the University of Cambria and gave a brief introduction to our university. Ying Yibin said that our university adheres to open education, actively carries out international exchanges and cooperation, and attaches great importance to holding activities, such as academic exchanges, joint school-running and scientific research with European universities and research institutions. University of Cambria has signed a memorandum of understanding with our university. This visit will surely further promote academic exchanges and scientific research cooperation between the two parties.
Julie Mennell said that as a young university, Cambria University has its own advantages and characteristics. Its forestry discipline is in the leading position in the UK. She hoped that the two parties could carry out more in-depth cooperation after this meeting.
Following the talks, our College of Continuing Education and the delegation of Cambria made a detailed discussion on the upcoming cooperation projects of Dual Bachelor's Master's Degree, upgrading from college students to university students, and upgrading from bachelor to master. Members of the Cambria delegation gave a project presentation to students.
It is reported that in May 2018, the University signed a memorandum of understanding with the University of Cambria, and both parties expressed their willingness to deepen cooperation in running schools.
