I. Major Introduction and Program Features

E-commerce (EC) began enrollment in 2003 in ZAFU, and now it is a keyconstructionmajor. There are 11 full-time teachers, among which associate professors make up to 36.36% andtheproportionholdingdoctoraldegreesis63.64%.Theprofessionalteachers,equippedwithstrongteachingabilitiesandacademic research levels, have undertaken 26 various teaching reforms and research projects abovetheprovincial level in the last five years, such as those put forward by the National Natural Science Foundation of China.Relyingon"TheNationalUniversityE-CommerceJointLaboratory"platform,weestablishedresourcesharingandpersonneltrainingmechanismswithothernationalcollegesanduniversities.TakingfulladvantageofthelocalECParkandtheschool’sBusinessIncubationBase,weguidethestudentstoattendECcompetitionslike"National EC Sanchuang Competition", the "National College Students' Innovation andEntrepreneurshipCompetition", and the "Zhejiang College Students EC Competition", in order to cultivate students'innovativeabilityandcomprehensivepracticalabilities.TheemploymentscopeofECgraduatesincludesfields such as governmentagencies,banks,manufacturingandserviceindustries.Theemploymentrateclimbed from95% to 100% from 2011 to 2015. The satisfaction degree of the graduates was above 85% to begin with andhasincreasedyear byyear.

Based on the national teaching quality standards and paired with expertise from the Management Science&Engineering discipline, this teaching program sets up two modules: "MobileE-Commerce" and"Cross-borderE-Commerce"tofulfillcross-borderECtalentdemandin theHangzhoucross-borderECcomprehensive demonstration zone. The program focuses on the integration of three industriesandcollaboration between the school, enterprises, and the local community.CooperatingwithlocalgovernmentsandcompanieslikeAlibaba Co Ltd., and relying on the local EC park and school’s Business platform, trainingforinnovation and entrepreneurship abilities is constructed around the Internet and mobile Internet. TheteachingprocessrequiresmakingfulluseofthemobileInternet,moderneducationaltechnologyandopenonlinecourse platforms, carrying out classroom innovation about teaching modes, teaching methods andmeans,and strengthening the teaching evaluation mode in the processevaluation.

II. Training Objectives

The major trains complex and advanced e-commerce practical talents who haveinternationalperspectives, ecological civilization awareness, modern management and informationeconomyconcepts, information technology and electronic services skills, solid professional foundations andgoodknowledge structures, a certain degree of Internet innovation entrepreneurial quality, and with theabilityof network business operations, professional management and technicalskills.

Talentstrained by our EC major can fulfill the following jobs in government/enterprisesandinstitutions:e-commerceplanningandmanagement,e-commerceplatformintegratedmanagementandoperating, network marketing and promotion, internet media operations, cross-border EC application,andPCand mobile terminal EC platform development and design, among others. They must meet the e-commerceinnovationandentrepreneurialtalentneedsundertheguidanceofpublicentrepreneurshipandsocialinnovationpolicy.

V. Study Duration and Award of Degree

The basic length of schooling is four years, and a flexible educational system is implemented with a period of schooling of 3-6 years. A Bachelor of Science in Management is awarded upon completion.

VI. Graduation Standard and Requirements

The minimum graduation credit needed is 166 credits, including 160 credits from in-class teaching and 6 credits from extra-curricular education.

VII. Study Requirements for A Minor, Double Major / Double Degree

The minimum required credits for a minor shall be no less than 20 credits, the minimum credits for double major shall be no less than 45 credits, and a double degree requires 10 credits for the graduation project (thesis) in the double degree. If one happens to meet the graduation requirements for a minor and double minor, the school shall award the corresponding minor certificate; in the case of meeting the conditions of awarding the double bachelor’s degree, the school will award the double bachelor’s degree.
