The center was established on April 25, 2018. Zhejiang A&F University is the primary supporting institution, with the participation of the survey and planning design institute of the State Forestry Administration, China National Bamboo Research Center, Southwest Forestry University,Fujian Academy of Forestry Sciences, Zhejiang Forest Resources Monitoring Center, East China Forestry Exchange, and other institutions. There are 73 researchers in the center, including 62 and 11 researchers hold Ph.D. and master's degrees, respectively. There are 37 professors and 23 associate professors. The academic leader of the center is Professor Zhou Guomo.
