Zhejiang A&F University (ZAFU) welcomed 8,245 incoming students at its 2026 Opening Ceremony held on 17 September at the Donghu Campus. The new cohort comprises 5,530 undergraduates, 2,306 postgraduates, and 409 international students.

Addressing the incoming class, President Wu Jiasheng extended a warm welcome to the university community. He encouraged them to make the most of their university experience by staying curious, learning across disciplines and putting knowledge into practice. He highlighted the university's close connection with agriculture, forestry and the natural environment, and encouraged students to engage with real-world challenges and develop the skills needed to contribute to society.

The ceremony also featured a university badge presentation, a student pledge and presentations by ZAFU's colleges highlighting their academic disciplines and distinctive programs. Faculty members and university leaders joined the new students for the event.

The ceremony marked the commencement of an exciting academic chapter for the Class of 2026, officially integrating students from across China and around the global into the vibrant ZAFU community.
