From July 30 to July 31, the 2nd Humanities and Law International Conference and the Seminar on “Construction of Foreign-related Rule of Law System in China” of Zhejiang A&F University 2024 was held in our university, which was hosted by the College of Humanities and Law (College of Foreign Languages).

Chen Xianchun, member of the party group and vice chairman of Zhejiang Federation of Social Sciences, and Zhu Bin, secretary of the Party Committee of Zhejiang A&F University, attended the opening ceremony and delivered speeches. Yang Song, President of Shenyang Normal University, Chen Enterprise, Chairman of the Pacific Economic Cooperation Committee of Singapore and Instructor Professor of Higher Education at Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy, National University of Singapore, Zhu Xiaolan, Chairman of the Asia-Pacific Trade Services Committee of WTCA and Executive Chairman of Global Entrepreneurs' FTPS Summit, attended the opening ceremony of the conference. The opening ceremony was hosted by Wu Jiasheng, Vice President of Zhejiang A&F University.

Chen Xianchun pointed out that Zhejiang is the frontier of China's opening up to the outside world and a major foreign trade province. In recent years with the deepening of economic and trade, humanities cooperation and exchanges, Zhejiang's international circle of friends continues to expand. High-performance foreign-related rule of law protection also become a high level of service to open up to the outside world, to cope with external risks and challenges of the times demand. In the training of international legal professionals, the provincial Department of Education to promote law schools to set up foreign-related rule of law course modules, support law schools to send teachers and students abroad. Zhejiang Provincial Federation of Social Sciences also attaches great importance to the study of the foreign-related rule of law, launched a series of research results.

Zhu Bin pointed out that Zhejiang A&F University attaches great importance to internationalization and has built a “1+9” internationalization system. This year's Grammar International Forum is a practical initiative to promote internationalization of our university, which provides an important platform to enhance the level of law schooling and expand the international vision of teachers and students. He said that by strengthening the foreign-related rule of law, it is not only a long-term need to comprehensively promote the construction of a strong nation and national rejuvenation by means of Chinese modernization, but also an urgent need to promote high-level opening up to the outside world and to cope with the challenges of external risks. Schools look forward to further strengthening cooperation and exchanges with domestic and foreign universities, and jointly promote the academic prosperity of humanities and social sciences.

According to the introduction, this conference seminar is divided into four units. From the United States, Singapore, Germany, Bosnia and Herzegovina and other countries and domestic Tsinghua University, Renmin University of China, Zhejiang University, China University of Political Science and Law, Shenyang Normal University, Hunan University, Liaoning University, Shanxi University, a total of more than 20 colleges and universities, more than 90 legal experts and scholars were centered on the construction of foreign-related rule of law system in China, international legal professional training and other topics to share the latest research results.

Participating experts believe that the foreign-related rule of law, as an important part of the socialist rule of law system with Chinese characteristics, has a bearing on the overall rule of law and the overall situation of opening-up and diplomatic work in China. This seminar, held at the important time point of in-depth study and implementation of the 3rd Plenary Session of the 20th CPC Central Committee, is of great significance for strengthening the construction of foreign-related rule of law in China, and is of great academic reference for optimizing the formulation and improvement of foreign-related legal policies in China, and cultivating international legal professionals with firm political stance, excellent professional qualities, good knowledge of the international rules, and proficiency in the practice of foreign-related laws.
