II. Main research direction
1. Circular economy and waste resource utilization
Developing a circular economy has become a basic strategic concept in China, and the development of environmental pollution control and resource recycling has become the frontier of scientific research. This research direction is based on the problem that the waste accumulation brought on by rapid development of Zhejiang rural economy seriously pollutes the environment, and is committed to the research and popularization of circular economy technologies. It combines the circulation economy theory with waste resource utilization technology and environmental pollution treatment technology organically. The discipline mainly studies the technology of harmless treatment and resource utilization technology of cultivation waste, safe waste treatment and resource utilization technology for rural domestic refuse and deep processing technology for biogas.
2. Environmental biology and ecological engineering
Environmental bioremediation technology and ecological engineering is a hot topic in the environmental field at home and abroad. This direction gives full attention to the advantages of ecological and biological research in the agriculture and forestry colleges, and uses environmental microorganisms, forest ecology, biological medicine fertilizer and environmental toxicology as its research subjects. The research focuses on the migration and diffusion rules of soluble chemical substances, the surface source pollution control technology of drainage basins, and the recovery and reconstruction of damaged ecosystems.
3. Water pollution control and treatment
Water pollution control and treatment is the current domestic problem needing to be solved urgently and has increasingly become the focus of the government and the public. The country set up the major scientific and technological “Water Pollution Control and Management Project" during the period of "the 10thFive-Year Plan". This research focuses on the biological recovery management of dyestuff waste water, the treatment of black and smelly river water, ecological restoration technology and the treatment of waste water by biological immobilization. It is attempting to develop special strains that efficiently adsorb recycled dyes, and uses bioremediation technologies to treat severely polluted black and odorous river channel water. The clam-grass-algae-bacteria biologically immobilized waste water is used to treat ecological tanks.
